SPRAGUE, WESLEY:
   Ionia County News, 23 Jan 1964 
   Wesley Sprague, 66, of Lyons passed away at his home in Lyons Tuesday,
January 14, at 10 a.m. following a heart attack. Mr. Sprague had been ill but
expected to be able to return to his work at the American Auto Felt Co. in
Lyons. He had gone to the factory Tuesday, but not to work and was taken ill. He
was returned to his home where he passed away shortly after. 
   Mr. Sprague was born in Ionia County, the son of Lee and Jennie Sprague. He
was married in 1918 to Rilla Messer in Ionia and they had lived in Lyons most of
their married life. He was a member of the Lyons Methodist church and of the
Lyons lodge F&AM and had been the Lyons village assessor for over 5 years. 
   He is survived by his wife, Rilla; one son, Raymond of Lyons, one daughter,
Mrs. Clyde Rogers also of Lyons, four grandchildren, four brothers, Frank,
Muskegon; Lyle, Palo; Walter, Ionia; Richard, rural Lyons; three sisters, Mrs.
Foster Lake, Muir; Mrs. Fred Lehman, Palo Mrs. William Thomas, Lyons. 
   Funeral services will be held Friday at the Lyons Methodist church with the
pastor, Rev. Gerald Hedlund officiating. Arrangements are by the Shaw-Rivett
funeral home in Muir.
