Ionia Sentinel Standard - May 5, 2011


Julia Catherine Spratto, 92, of Ionia, passed away peacefully at her home on 
Wednesday, May 4, 2011. She was on July 31, 1918 in Ionia the daughter of Frank 
and Catherine (Muccio) Spratto.

Julia was a lifelong member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers George, Tony and Ernie 
Spratto.

Surviving are a niece, Nickie (Jim) Galloway; nephew, Frank (Lillian) Spratto; 
numerous great nieces and nephews; special great nephew, Ernie Spratto; 
numerous great, great nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Boufford at 11 
a.m., Friday May 6, 2011 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ionia. Rite of 
Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive 
friends at 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia County Humane Society in memory 
of Julia.
