The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, May 6, 1981


Loraine Springer, 81, of Mansfield, Ohio, widow of George P. Springer, died 
Monday morning at Mansfield General Hospital following an extended illness.  
She was born Nov. 14, 1899 in Whitehall, the daughter of Tom and Ella 
McKinstry.  She lived in Mansfield the past 5 years.  A freelance writer, she 
was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Mansfield.

Survivors include one son-in-law, William S. Huffman, with whom she made her 
home; three grandchildren; one sister, Louise Mohlman, of Muir; and one niece.

Services will be at the Wapner Funeral Home, Ontario, Ohio, today at 4 p.m., 
with the Rev. Michael Goldner officiating.  Burial will be in the Highland Park 
Cemetery, Ionia.  A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. with 
the Rev. Leo Kostizen of St. John’s Lutheran Church officiating.
