Ionia Sentinel, 11 Jul 1974

Mrs. Effie E. Sprout, 81, formerly of Saranac, died Wednesday evening at the 
Ionia Manor.

Born March 23, 1893, at Riverdale she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin 
Jenks.  November 15, 1917, she was married at Portland to Max Sprout and he 
died September 15, 1966.  She had been a resident of the Saranac area 20 years.

Survivors include two sons, Russell Hansen of Grand Rapids and Mitchell Sprout 
of Lowell; two daughters, Mrs. Nina Jensen of Clarksville and Mrs. Theora 
Fuller of Saranac; 21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and two great great 
grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Dessa Maus of Lyons.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Morris-Roetman funeral home at 
Saranac.  Interment will be at the Saranac cemetery.
