Mrs. Frank Sprout died at her home, on Beers street, Tuesday morning at ten o’clock, death being due to stomach trouble. The funeral was held from the residence of her son, Charles, this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Rev. V. C. Webb officiated. Burial was made in the Portland cemetery. Emma May Churchill was born in Portland October 3, 1863, and was married to Mr. Sprout in 1883, and had always made Portland her home. She was a well known and respected citizen and her many friends will join with the sorrowing family in their bereavement. Besides the husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Anna Sweet of Grand Ledge; Mrs. Trixie Stewart, Muir; Miss Lucille, who lives at home, and two sons, Charles and Max, both of Portland.
