The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, November 14, 1977


Mrs. Bertha Frances Sprout, 77, of 530 East Grand River avenue, died at a 
Lansing convalescent home November 12.  She was born September 17, 1900, in 
Falmouth, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson.

Surviving are: one brother, Delbert Wilson of Dearborn; three sisters; Mrs. 
Marvin Cutter, Dearborn; Mrs. Lila Miller, E. Jordan; Mrs. Ama Webb, Eaton 
Rapids; and Mrs. Doris Down, Dearborn.  Her husband, Charles, preceded her in 
death about 10 years ago.

Funeral services were Monday at 2 p.m. at Neller Funeral Home in Portland, with 
Rev. Maurice Christenson of Portland Baptist Church officiating, and burial was 
in Portland cemetery.  Bearers were Omer Schuster, George Miller, Rick Miller, 
Dale Petrie, Gary Erdman, and Carrol Wheeler.
