Sentinel-Standard - Friday, Jan. 29, 1937

Funeral services for Dean Squier, 49, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Coopers 
Bros'. mortuary, 10400 Mack avenue, Detroit. Mr. Squier who lived at 2214 
Calvert avenue died Wednesday. He was born in Ionia February 6, 1888, the son 
of Mr. and Mrs. Manly Squier, whose home was on Lincoln avenue the second house 
east of Union street, now the F.R. Macumber home. For 18 years he was cashier 
in the office of the collector of internal revenue in Detroit.

He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Detroit and of the 
Elks. He was educated in the Ionia public schools. Surviving are his wife, 
Mabel; three sons, Donald, Alan and Dean Jr.; two sisters, Mrs. E.A. Harrigan 
of Davenport, Iowa and Myrtle Squier of California and brother Cuyler C.
