Lake Odessa Wave & Times - Thurs. May 16, 1940

Irene Kart Stadel, 68, was born August 6, 1871 in Ashland county, Ohio, and 
died in her sleep Wednesday night or early Thursday morning at the farm home 
west of Lake Odessa in Carlton township. 

She was one of eight children, all of whom have passed away except Mrs. Cora 
Green.

She is survived by three children, Harley of Lake Odessa, Edna of Kalamazoo, 
and Berwin on the home farm, three grandchildren, and her older sister, Mrs. 
Green of Lake Odessa; her husband F.E. “Mona” Stadel died five years ago 

The funeral will be held at the late home, Saturday at 2 p.m. the Rev. Arthur 
Carey, pastor of the Campbell Brethren church where she had been a member for 
many years, officiating. 

Burial will be at Lakeside.
