Lake Odessa Wave - March 18, 1971
          RUTH B. STADEL PASSED AWAY
   Mrs. Ruth B. Stadel, 68, passed away Monday evening at Pennock Hospital,
Hastings, following an 11-year 
illness and had been hospitalized three days.
   She was born at Hickory Corners Jan. 10, 1902, daughter of Albert and Millie
(Cam) Knowles.  A 1919 
graduate of the Hastings High School and the Kalamazoo Business College in 192l.
   She married Harley E. Stadel of Lake Odessa Sept. 29, 1923, and had resided in
Lake Odessa since her 
marriage.
   Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs Larry (Judy) Raffler, rural Hastings,
and four grandchildren.  A 
daughter, Joan Kay, passed away in July, 1944.
   Mrs. Stadel reposes at the Pickens Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will be
held at 1:30 Thursday 
(today).  Rev. Randall Metz will officiate with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
