Excerpts from the Carson City Gazette, Carson City MI 12/1/1977
Walter Stadlberger, 78, of Carson City passed away on November 29, 1977 at 
Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma.  He was born in Alma on June 28, 1899 and 
married Alice M. Hendricks in 1923.  She survives along with his daughter, 
Mrs. Opal Bogart of Garden, Michigan, 3 sons, Walter Jr. of Montgomery, 
Alabama; Loren of Port Jarvis, New York and Kent of St. James, Florida; one 
brother, Ernie of New Haven Michigan; three sisters, Almeda Forest of North 
Star, Katherine Church and Luella Beard both of Alma.

Mr. Stadlberger was a long time resident of Carson City, having moved there in 
1937.  He was a member of Eugene Arbor Lutheran Church and had retired from 
Michigan Produce Company.  Burial in Palo Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements by 
Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City.
