Staffen, 58, Orleans, died Monday afternoon March 30, 2009 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Greg was born on April 11, 1950 in Greenville, the son of Lossie and Jacqueline Irish Staffen. Greg proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. He later worked for a number of years at Extruded Metals retiring in 2008. He was a member of the United Auto Workers and of the American Legion Post 203 of Belding. Greg loved growing vegetables especially tomatoes and fixing things with duct tape. Re Green was his idol. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Greg is survived by his children; Brian Selleck of Lowell, Bruce (Karrie) Selleck of Orleans, Beth Selleck (Mike Loehle) of Grandville, Shannon (Bradley) Hawley of Ionia and Leanne (Telly) Graves of Belding; grandchildren Amanda (Ryan) Ritenburgh, Bruce Selleck II, Ryan Barger, Amanda Loehle, Nathan Hawley, Sean Loehle, Taylor Barger, Alex Hawley, Sabrina Selleck, Andi Hawley, Colt Graves, Brian Selleck Jr. and Shawna Graves; one great-grandchild Noah Ritenburgh and three sisters. Greg was preceded by his parents, one sister, one brother and a stepfather.
