Mrs. Frieda Stahl, 70, of 818 West Lincoln avenue died at the Eckert Nursing 
Home Friday evening, Sept. 18 at 9:30 p.m. after being a patient there since 
August 25.

She was born in Chicago Oct. 4, 1883, the daughter of Fred and Anna Kocek.  She 
was married May 15, 1913 to John Stahl in Chicago and came to Ionia at that 
time.  Mrs. Stahl had lived in Ionia for the past 40 years and was a member of 
the Unity of Bohemian Ladies of Chicago for over 40 years.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Lewis Unrath of Ionia and 
Mrs. Charles Doyle Smith of Elyria, Ohio; four grandchildren; two brothers, 
Joseph Koeck of Chicago and Hugh McKay of Pontiac.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Boynton Funeral Home Monday, Sept. 
21 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. W. W. Pixley officiating.  Interment will be in 
the family lot in Highland Park cemetery.
