Ionia Sentinel Standard, 19 Jan 1984

Floyd Stahl, 84, of 13877 84th St., Alto, died Tuesday at Lowell Medical Center.
 He was born Aug. 21, 1899, in Ionia County, son of John and Eliza (Bleem) Stahl.

He married Huldah Christensen on June 9, 1921, in Ionia County.  She preceded
him in death in 1975.  He was a member of the Bayshore Mennonite Church in
Sarasota, Fla.  They farmed in the Clarksville-Alto area and he worked at the A
& P food store, retiring in 1962.  For the past 13 years, he has spent winters
in Florida.

He is survived by three sons, Floyd of Oakland, N.J.; Darryl of Orleans; and
Larry of Lowell; two daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Marilynne) Depew of Medina, Ohio,
and Mrs. Leo (Roselynne) Peters of Lowell; one sister, Mrs. Ora (Naomi) Miller
of Goshen, Ind.; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Calvary Grace
Brethern Church of Alto, Rev. Richard Placeway officiating.  Burial will be in
Bowne Mennonite Cemetery.  The family will be at Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel in
Clarksville Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.
