Ionia Shopper's Guide - Aug. 18, 2012

Francis D. Stahl Sr., age 75, of Saranac, passed away August 14, 2012 in Grand 
Rapids. He was born January 14, 1937 in Campbell Township, Michigan, the son of 
Clare and Maxine (Litchfield) Stahl. Francis married Doris Rowley August 18, 
1956 in Saranac. He drove truck for various companies until retiring in 2002. 
Together they wintered in St. Augustine, Florida. He loved to fish and travel.

Francis is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Doris of Saranac; children 
Deborah Stahl-Nash of Saranac, Peggy (Gary) Golombisky of Saranac, Francis 
(Lauise) Nash Jr. of Clarksville, Becky (Jerry) Smith of Saranac; brother 
Kendall (Marvel) Stahl of Tennessee; sisters Carol (Jim) Smith of Indiana, and 
Joy (Sam) Holley of Hastings; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-two great 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Forrest Stahl.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Arrangement by Lake 
Funeral Home of Saranac. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions in
