Clarksville- Mrs. Emma Pearl Stahl, 89, of Clarksville, died Sunday afternoon at 
Sunset Acres Nursing Home, Hastings, where she was a patient for the past six 
weeks. She was  previously a resident of Shoebridge Nursing Home in Freeport for 
seven years.

She was born July 27, 1892, in Shipshewana, Indiana, the daughter of Chancy and 
Ella (Dormer) Miller.

She married Alvin Stahl, December 27, 1919. He preceded her in death July 7, 
1967. They lived and farmed in Allendale and the Clarksville area.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Walfred, of Lake Odessa, two sister-in-
laws, Mrs. Bernice Miller, of Provincial House in Hastings, and Mrs. Naomi 
Miller of Kouts, Indiana, one brother-in-law, Floyd Stahl of Alto and many 
nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Bowne Mennonite Church with the 
Rev. LaVern Swartz and Rev. Floyd Bontrages officiating. Burial will be in the 
church cemetery.

The family will be at Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel in Clarksville for visitation 
Monday from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
