Therese (Desotell) Stahl
Therese (Desotell) Stahl went to join her beloved husband Verle in heaven the 
morning of Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020.

Therese was born May 11, 1937 in Germany. aFter the war, her mother remarried 
to an American soldier and Therese traveled first to Alaska, then France, 
there she met he own American soldier, and the two were married  August 16, 
1958.

After returning to Verle's home in Michigan, Therese had two children and 
later became a nurse's aide at Pennock Hospital. At 77, after more than 47 
years, "Terry" finally retired just in time for the birth of her first great-
grandchild and the light of her life, Evan. Her joy increased three years 
later with the birth of twin great-granddaughters, Rian and Maye.

Known to many as Oma, Therese will be missed both by her family and friends 
here and in Germany, where she loved to visit. She also enjoyed the music and 
friendships found with her daughter and son-in-law, Ilse and Kevin.

Therese is survived by her son, Gerald (Julie) Stahl; daughter, Ilse (Kevin) 
Gaugier: granddaughters, Angela Stahl and Stephanie (Brian Zook) Stahl; 
great-grandchildren, Evan, Rian, and Maye Stahl and brother, Gordon (Karen) 
Desotell.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Verle; mother, Emma 
Therese Desotell and step-father, Harry Desotell, and  siblings, Hanni 
Simpson and Harold Desotell.

A private family memorial service will be held at Calvary Grace Brethren 
Church, with interment to follow at Clarksville Cemetery.
