CLARKSVILLE-  Alma V. Stahl, 82, of Alto, died Saturday evening in the Lowell 
Medical Center.

She was born July 12, 1901, in Berlin Township, the daughter of William and 
Hattie Gietz Post. She attended school in Clarksville and also the Fort Wayne 
Teachers College.

She taught the Jennings rural school for several years and later was employed by 
A & P stores in Grand Rapids.

She was married to Loren Stahl in November of 1924; he died in 1933. She married 
Glenn Stahl, Feb. 23, 1948; he preceded her in death in 1978.

She was a member of the Hope Church of the Brethren in Freeport, the Pennock 
Hospital Guild and the Flower Club of Alto. 

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Jean) Verstay of Grand Rapids, Mr. 
Clarence (Janet) Cronkwright of Wyoming and Mrs. John (Joan) Domasick of Grand 
Rapids; one son, Joe Stahl of Alto; 15 grandchildren and eight great 
grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Beatrice) Warren of Ft. Myers, Fla.; a 
nephew and two nieces. 

Funeral services were Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Hope Church of the Brethren, 
Freeport, with the Rev. Ronnie Moore officiating. Burial was in Bowne Mennonite 
Cemetery.
