Excerpts from Greenville Obituary

JEAN STAINES

Died March 5, 2026-age 87 of Fenwick
Jeannie spent much of her life, along side her late husband,Keith, working the 
farm that they shared together.
The farm work was a way of life that suited her perfectly.
She took pride in caring for the land & the animals that were part of her daily 
life.
Jeannie had a special talent for riding & breaking the horses. Her passion for 
the horses led her to become a member of the Quarter Horse Association.
She took great satisfaction in tending to her garden, creating beautiful hook 
rungs, working cross word puzzles, and reading Harlequin romance novels.
She loved spending time with her children & grandchildren, sharing stories, 
laughter & encouraging them.
Survived by her daughters, Angela Zelinski & Tonya (James) Toth; her son, Eric 
Staines; her grandchildren, Richard Bueno & David (Audrey) Bueno; her great-
grandchildren, Vivien, Sebastian & Estella.Also by her sisters, Beverly (James) 
LeLand, Nancy (Tim) Hopkins, Kay Plate & Audrey (Larry) Mitchell; her brother, 
Pete McKinley.
Preceded in death by her husband,Keith; her brothers, Melvin McKinley & Gary 
McKinley; her parents James & Rosaline (Richmond)McKinley.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21, from 11AM to 1 PM at 
the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S.Main St.)
For those wishing to honor Jeannie's memory, a Memorial donations may be made to 
the family to assist with a headstone.
