Forrest Stair Dies Suddenly
Forrest Stair, 47, of Mason passed away unexpectedly Thursday night at 
Lansing General Hospital, a few hours after admittance.

He was born in Hasting's June 3, 1925, the son of Forest and Leona 
(Francisco) Stair and had lived all his life in the Lake Odessa area until 
moving to Mason about a year ago.

Mr. Stair was employed as a mill wright at Oldsmobile at Lansing for 25 years 
and was a Navy Veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife Patricia; three daughters, Beni Lu at home, Mrs Larry 
(Paula) Vroman of Woodland and Mrs Michael (Connie) Johnson of Anchorage, 
Alaska; two sons, Scott of Woodland and Steve of Portland; his mother, Mrs 
Leona Collins of Lake Odessa; a brother Jack Stair of Pleasant Lake; three 
sisters, Mrs Perry (Betty) Shepard, Mrs Arnold (Beverly) Daniels and Mrs 
Robert (Shirley) Herbstrieth, all of Lake Odessa; two step-daughters, Mrs 
Larry (Jerrie) Levering of Lansing and Miss Penny Sue Challendar of Grand 
Ledge; two step-sons, Loren Challendar of Grand Ledge and Richard McCartney 
of Detroit.

Funeral services were held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Jewett Funeral Home 
at Mason with burial in the Mason Cemetery.
