He was born December 8, 1957, in Ohio. [Transcriber's Note: This is the date as printed in the obituary.] He was married to Ida Hazel of Berlin in 1904, and the couple had always made their home in Ionia county. Surviving him besides his wife, Ida, are five sons, Emerson of Lake Odessa, Galen at home, Alfred of Howell, William of Clarksville, Lloyd with the U.S. army stationed at Camp Edwards, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Barney of Nashville, and Miss Iva Stalter of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Wortley & Baine funeral chapel in Lake Odessa. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
