EMERSON J. STALTER
Lake Odessa -  Emerson J. Stalter, 85, of 12050 Jordan lake Highway, died Friday at
his residence.

He was born Feb. 17, 1905, in Lake Odessa to John and Ida (Hazel) Stalter.

He attended Lake Odessa High School and was a life-long farmer in the area.

On April 8, 1933, he married Frances Batchelor. She survives him.

Also surviving are three sons; Lyle of clarksville, Larry of Woodland, and Dale of
Rockford; a daughter, Carol Emery of Lake Odessa; four brothers; Gaylon, William and Lloyd, all
of Lake Odessa and Lee of Florida; to sisters; Hazel Varney of Nashville, Ivah Moore of
Florida; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 1:30 in the Koops Funeral Chapel in lake
Odessa. The rev. Dick Cross will officiate. Burial will be in lakeside Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the first Baptist church of Sebewa or to the 
American Cancer Foundations. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at
Koops funeral Chapel.
