Lake Odessa Wave-Times- November 8, 1912

                                   OBITUARY
Miss Sarah J. Miller was born Feb. 7th, 1829 and departed this life Oct. 28th 
1912, aged 83 years, 8 month and 21 days. She was united in marriage to Ezra 
Stalter Mar. 25th 1854. To this union was born five children, three girls and 
two boys. Her husband and three children preceded her to the better land and she 
has left to mourn their loss one son John Stalter of Lake Odessa and one 
daughter Mrs Wm. Gilliland of Hancock, Co,  Ohio. Also seven grand children and 
one great grand child and many other relative and friends.

She was converted when a child and united with the Christian Union Church where 
she was true and devoted. When they moved from Hancock County to Van Wert County 
she united with the Society of Friends always preserving the same Christian love 
and faithfulness and in her declining years, always expressed a desire to go 
home to live with her God and loved ones gone before.

The funeral service was held last week Thursday at the home of her son John 
where the deceased had made her home. Rev Davis of the U.B. Church preached the 
funeral sermon and burial at Lakeside.

We wish to express our sincere thanks for the kindness of our neighbors and 
friends also the choir in our sad hour of bereavement.
