Ionia Sentinel, 1 May 1915

Ransom Stambro died at his home in Easton at 7 o’clock Thursday evening, being 81 
years of age.  Mr. Stambro served in the civil war and was a member of William H. 
Borden post, G.A.R. of Ionia.  He had lived on his farm in Easton since 1853.  He 
left no immediate relatives.  The funeral will be held on Sunday at 10:30 fast 
time at the home and 11:30 at the Dildine church.
