Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Feb 1978

Services for Dr. Paul W. Stamsen, Jr., 69, who died at his home Wednesday were
Saturday at 10 a.m. from SS Peter and Paul church with Rev. Father Henry
Dondzila officiating.  Committal services were held at the church with burial in
Mt. Olive cemetery.  Honorary bearers were Dr. H. L. Winchell, Flint C. Watt,
Geer H. Smith, Robert Boyce and Fred M. Kidd, Jr.  Active bears were Fred
Thwaites, Dr. Robert Smith, Andy Sibley, James Maynard, E. J. Tupper, Donald
Lower, Richard Schafer and Bob Lower.  Attending services in a group and serving
as an honor guard were members of the Ionia Lions Club and Knights of Columbus.
 Following church services, luncheon was prepared and served to family and
friends in the SS Peter and Paul school cafeteria.  Prior to church services, a
family prayer service was held at the Leddick funeral home.
