Wave, Wed. Sept. 15, 1982 Albert B. "Abe" Stank, 57 of 4677 N. Vassar Road, Fairgrove, died August 15, 1982 at St. Luke's Hospital in Saginaw. Mr. Stank was born December 21, 1924 in Grand Rapids, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Stank, Sr. His parents moved to Sunfield when he was a young boy. He graduated from Sunfield High School. During World War II he served with the U.S. Army. Stank was a retired farmer. He was a former member of the Sunfield Village Council. On December 2, 1967 he married Miss Mary Ann Murday in Sebewaing. They lived in Sunfield a short time before moving to Fairgrove. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Caro. Abe belonged to the Thumb Shuffleboard Club of Reese and the Bradenton Trailer Park Shuffleboard Club. Mr. Stank is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; a brother, John of Portland; a sister, Mrs. Calvin (Anne) Daniels of Grandville; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Anton and Victor preceded him in death. The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro. The Rev. Frs. Mason L. Vaughn and Raymond Mogenburg officiated. Interment was in Brookside Cemetery at Fairgrove. Arrangements by the Clark Funeral Home, Fairgrove.
