Ionia County News - Thursday, March 6, 1947

Glenn Stannard, 61, died at his home, east of Tupper Lake, Saturday, after a 
long illness. born in Ionia, April 21, 1871, he had been in the restaurant 
business most of his life. Since residing near Tupper Lake he had operated a 
boat livery and had erected several cabins. He was an overseas veteran of 
World War I. Surviving are the widow the former Orpha Ingram of Adrian, who he 
married in 1917; and a son Harold, of Kalamazoo. Funeral service was held 
Tuesday at the Bradley Funeral home in Ionia under the auspices of he Ionia 
American Legion post. Burial in Tuttle cemetery.
