She was found by her husband Harold about 7:30 in the garage on a blanket on the floor near the rear of the car and the motor was still running. Lake Odessa fireman with the rescuitator and the Pickens ambulance was called, but Mrs. Stannard was dead on their arrival. Mrs. Stannard lived in Detroit before her marriage and had lived east of town at Tupper lake for the past ten years. Surviving are her husband, a daughter Carolyn at home, an adopted son, Lt. James serving in Korea and two sisters, Miss Mary Januseczak and Mrs.Ann Nickawiski, both of Detroit. Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pickens funeral chapel with burial in the Tuttle Cemetery near Ionia. rev. Robert Richardson officiated.
