Belding Banner, 14 Mar 1901

Wm. Stanton, well known in these parts, died March 7th.  He served his country 
in the war of the rebellion, and was a sailor during his younger days.  He 
leaves a wife, a son and a daughter.  The funeral was held Sunday and the 
burial was at Smyrna.  He was about 60 years of age.
