Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. Oct. 20, 2009

Jane Ann Stanton, of East Lansing, born May 5, 1917, the daughter of Arthur and 
Grace Rather, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009.

Jane taught in the Okemos Public Schools for many years and was involved in 
numerous civic organizations. 

Surviving are her daughter, Sherry (Richard) Termolen and son, Steven (Amparo) 
Stanton; 5 grandchildren, Rather, Mary, Louise, Hugh, Timothy and Kenneth and 3 
great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Ashley and Rilee.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Wellan Stanton, DDS.

A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date at Balcom Cemetery in 
Ionia. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice in 
memory of Jane. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral
