Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Mon. July 11, 1938

William L. Stanton, 75, a life-long resident of Ionia county, died Saturday 
evening, July 9, at his home in Berlin township after a two weeks’ illness.

He was born February 20, 1863, in Orange township and was married to Julia 
Green, who preceded him in death September 22, 1904

Surviving are seven children, Earl Stanton of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Alice Harden of 
Ionia, William S. Stanton of Ionia, Mrs. Laura Price of Stonington, Illinois, 
Elmer Stanton of Lyons and Lewis and Amos Stanton of Ionia; three sisters Mrs. 
Blanche D. Hart of Ionia, Mrs. Lydia Green of Battle Creek and Mrs. Zinia 
Chadwick of Saranac.

Funeral services will be conducted from the LeValley church Tuesday afternoon, 
July 12 at 2 o’clock with interment in the Tuttle cemetery. The body will 
repose at the church from 1 o’clock until after the services. Rev. Kenneth 
Griswold will officiate.
