Willard J. Stanton, of Lansing, age 81, passed away Nov. 5, 2009.

He was born Jan. 10, 1928, in Orleans, the son of William and Sarah Stanton. He 
retired Oct. 1, 1986, from plant security at Oldsmobile, after 34 years, and 
was a member of the Olds Salaried Retiree Club. Willard was on the board of 
directors for LAFCU, was a member of the Waverly 39ers, and was involved in 
numerous facets of the Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Marjorie; 2 sons, Gary (Tharsilla) Stanton and Philip 
Bains; daughter, Jill Stanton; 2 grandchildren, David and Christine Stanton, as 
well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 9 brothers and 2 sisters.

A memorial celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 
2010, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Willard 
Stanton.
