Wayne L. Stanton, aged 72, of Ionia, passed away July 23, 2014.  He was born 
Aug. 8, 1941, in Ionia the son of Amos and Ruth (Peabody) Stanton.  Wayne went 
on to marry Sonia Lake July 23, 1960, in Orleans.  She preceded him in death in 
2009.

Wayne worked as a body man and painter for many years.  He loved fishing, 
hunting and coaching softball.

Wayne is survived by his children, Renee Stanton of Wyoming, Michigan, Troy 
(Angie) Stanton of Saranac and Tonya (Ross) Blow of Saranac; grandchildren 
Trinity Twomey of Grand Rapids, Summer (Juoquin) Vasquez of Grand Rapids, 
Brandon (Tanna) Stanton of Saranac, Derek Blow and Fiancé Frances Gawlak of 
Grand Rapids, Morgan Stanton of Saranac, Paige Twomey of Grand Rapids and 
Jordan Blow of Grand Rapids; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and 
nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters Lorene Adgate, 
Maxine McPhearson, grandson Kody and great grandson Ashton.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Saranac with Pastor Becky Poor officiating.  Interment Easton Cemetery.  
Visitation will be on Sunday 2-5 p.m. at the Funeral Home. 

Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Parkinson's Foundation or 
American Cancer Society.
