STANTON, 61, of Lyons, died Friday evenine at 10 o'clock at Veteran's hospital in Saginaw, where he had been a patient since April 16. Born April 15, 1896 in Orange township, he was a son of William and Julia (Green) Stanton and was married to the former Florence King of Ionia, February 25, 1922, in Ionia. They made their home in Lyons since their marriage. Mr. Stanton was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Florence; one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Simon of Lyons; five grandchildren; three brothers, Amos and Lewis of Ionia and Earl of Kalamazoo and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Price of Taylorsville, Ill. and Mrs. Alice Harden of Clarksville. One brother, William, preceded him in death in 1950. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, at the Lyons Methodist church, with the Rev. Robert Watt officiating. Friends and relatives are being received at the Myers funeral home in Ionia. Burial will be in Lyons cemetery."
