Mrs. Marguerit Stanton Expired This Morning. Mrs. Marguerite A. Stanton died very suddenly this morning at the home of her son Edgar Stanton on Front street. It was at the breakfast hour and while the family were about to come to the table she sank to the floor and expired. The deceased was 53 years old and was born in London, Ont. She, with her husband, D.V. Stanton came to Belding 12 years ago, having previously lived at Lexington, Mich. Two children survive her, Edgar and Smith Stanton. Her health has not been good for several months, having been subject to dropsy and heart trouble. Her three sisters, Mrs. Godfrey, Mrs. Murray and Mrs. Rhoder were with her when the end came. Funeral services will be held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. ------------ The funeral services of Mrs. Margaret Stanton were largely attended at the home of the deceased on Front st. Saturday afternoon. Rev. H.N. Spear pastor of the Baptist church officiated. The Maccabee ladies of which order she was a member attended in a body. Remains were laid to rest in River Ridge cemetery by the side of her husband.
