Born in Geneva, Pa., May 14, 1895, she had lived in Detroit and Dearborn before coming to Belding in 1964. She was a member of the Keego Harbor post of VFW auxiliary and also belonged to the Ashley Baptist church. August 2, 1924, she was married at Dearborn to Earl S. Stapleton and he survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Margaret McMellen of Burbank, Calif.; four sons, Herbert Grover of Davisburg, Fred Luth of Clarkston, Robert Stapleton of Belding and Clarence Stapleton of Waterford; 19 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Cora Ford of Centerline. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Charles M. Courser funeral home at Belding. Rev. Elmer Katterjohn will officiate and interment will be at the Easton cemetery, Ionia county.
