Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Feb 1985

Leonard E. Starks, 45, of 3868 McKendry Road, Ionia, died Monday evening at
Blodgett Memorial Medical Center, Grand Rapids.  He was born September 25, 1939,
in Big Raids, the son of Ray and Thelma Wilmer Starks.

He was owner/manager of Ionia Auto Glass.  He attended Ionia High School.  He
was an active bowler and was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Ionia County Fishing
and Hunting Club and a member of the Western Michigan Rifle and Pistol Club.

Surviving are two daughters, Lori Starks of Ionia and Cindy Ingvartsen of Ionia;
his mother, Thelma Starks of Easton Township; one brother, Harold Starks of
Carleton; one sister, Mary Lou Hawley of Panama City, Fla.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Roetman Funeral Home. 
Burial will be in Easton Cemetery.  Memorials have been established for the
Ionia County Unit of the American Cancer Society and the Ionia AA Group, in care
of the funeral home.  The family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
