Ionia Sentinel Standard, 24 Nov 1984

Ray D. Starks, 74, of 4102 West Lincoln Ave., Ionia, died Friday morning at
Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  He was born Oct. 28, 1910, in Big Rapids, the
son of Earl and Florence Fields Starks.  He was married June 22, 1936, in Big
Rapids to the former Thelma Wilmer.

They moved to Ionia in 1943 and he was associated with Ionia Auto Glass since
that time, serving as President of the firm at the time of his death.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Leonard of Ionia and Harold of Carlton; one
daughter, Mary Lou Hawley of Panama City, Fla.; six grandchildren and one great
grandchild.  Also surviving are four sisters, Dorothy Neleson of Florida; Letha
Coon of Reed City; Donna Bevins of Marne and Lois Allen of Alabama.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Roetman Funeral Home.  Burial
will be in Easton Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home Sunday from
2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
