                              EARL STARKS, JR.

IONIA-Earl Starks, Jr. 51, of 341 Baldie Street died Thursday evening at 
St.Mary's hospital in Grand Rapids.

He was born September 4, 1926 in Marne, the son of Mr.and Mrs.Earl Starks.

He married the former Adeline Jackson in 1948 and was formerly employed by Ionia 
Manufacturing, Mitchell Bentley, A.O. Smith and General Tire. Mr.Starks retired 
in 1971 because of illness.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Steven and Ronald of Ionia; two 
daughters,Mrs.Kay Page of Lyons and Onnette at home; one brother, Ray of Ionia; 
four sisters, Mrs.Gordon (Leatha) Coon of Paris, Mrs.Clare (Dorothy)Nelson of 
Kent City,Mrs. Thomas (Donna) Bevins of LaMonte and Mrs. Gordon (Lois) Allen of 
Hamilton, Alabama and three grandchildren.

Services are Monday at 3 p.m. from the Myers-Roetman Funeral Home with burial in 
Marne Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Saturday 7 to 
9 pm and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A memorial fund is established for the Kidney Foundation.

IONIA-Funeral services for Earl Starks Jr., were Monday afternoon from the 
Myers-Roetman Funeral Home with Steve Pearson officiating.

Burial was in Marne Cemetery.

Military services were under the auspices of the Sheridan VFW with members of 
the Lyons VFW serving as bearers.

Luncheon was served following services at the Lyons VFW post.
