The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 2, 1948
Earl Starks died Sunday at the home of his son at 429 Center street.  He is 
survived by his wife, Florence; six sons, Roy, Howard and Leonard of Ionia, 
Ivan and Earl, Jr., of Grand Rapids, and Robert in the U.S. navy; four 
daughters, Mrs. Charles Holtzlander of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Gordon Coon of Big 
Rapids, Miss Lois Starks of Ionia, and Miss Donna Starks of Grand Rapids.

The body will be at the Myers funeral home until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.  Funeral 
services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Greenhoe funeral home in 
Grand Rapids and interment will be at Marne.
