April 27, 1967 Arthur E. Statsick Passed Away Tuesday Arthur E. Statsick, 78, farmer of rural Woodland, passed away suddenly at his farm home at 5494 Saddlebag Lake road, Tuesday evening. A native of Caledonia, he was the son of Joseph and Susanna Statsick and had been a resident of the area most of his life. He married Laura Smith, November 24, 1927 and had lived on their farm in Sunfield township all their married life. Mr. Statsick was a member of the Lakewood E. U. B. Church, Veteran of World War I, serving with the 21st Engineer Co., and had attended the convention of the Engineer co., last October at Des Moines, Iowa. He was also a charter member of Lakeside Barrack no. 2161; VFW Post and Farm Bureau. Surviving are his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Smith of lake Odessa and Mrs. L. J. (Velma) Clark of Battle Creek, nieces and nephews. Mr. Statsick reposes at the Pickens Funeral Chapel, lake Odessa where services will be held Friday at 1;30. Rev. Carl Silvernail will officiate with burial in lakeside cemetery.
