          ALLAN R. STAUFFER
   SUNFIELD - Allan R. Stauffer, 51, of 2451 Eaton Highway, Rt. 1 Sunfield, died
March 22 at Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital.
   He was born Aug. 18, 1929 in Elkton, the son of Allan and Sarah Miller Stauffer.
   He graduated from Elkton High School in 1947 and married Virginia Walker Sept 30,
1950.  The couple lived 
in the Thumb area until 1962, when they moved to Sunfield.  At the time of his
death, Mr. Stauffer was 
employed by the Michigan Reformatory.
   Surviving are his wife, Virginia; one son, Robert Allan Stauffer at home; one
daughter, Phyllis Sharon 
Stauffer of Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. LaVern Jensen of Durand, Mrs. Minerva Carens
of East Detroit and Mrs. 
William (Jenny) Asch of Midland; two brothers Ivan of Pennepog, Mich. and Kenneth of
Elkton; and nieces, 
nephews and cousins.
   Services will be held today at 1:30 p.m. from the Pickeno-Koops Funeral Chapel in
Lake Odessa, with the 
Rev. James Hulett officiating.
   Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
