STAUFFER

K. Ernestine Stauffer, age 100, of Belding passed away March 1, 2022. She was 
born February 2, 1922 in Vergennes Twp., the daughter of Ernst and Katherine 
(Roth) Althaus. Ernestine went on to marry Lloyd G.Stauffer May 2, 1941, 
together they raised 3 children and she helped Lloyd run the family farm. He 
preceded her in death May 16, 2008.

She was a member of Easton United Methodist church and the united methodist 
Women. Ernestine was a very accomplished painter, she loved to sew, write poetry 
and short stories.

Surviving are her children; Larry (Nancy) Stauffer of Belding and Linda Renucci 
of Ionia. Grandchildren; Dawn (Joe) Barna of Ionia, Larry Stauffer Jr. and 
fiance' Christina Alexander of Dade, Fl., Matthew (Ashley) Stauffer of Ionia, 
Christopher (Stephanie) Stauffer of Belding, Justin Stauffer of Belding, Nathan 
Stauffer of Grand Rapids, Logan Stauffer of Fairbanks, Ak., Ami (John) Ferguson 
of Portland, Daniel Stauffer of Japan, James (Pauline) Stauffer of Orlando, Fl., 
Elizabeth (Glenn) Stauffer-Jordan of Nevada and Mary Stauffer of California. 22 
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, son John Stauffer, son-in-
law,Tom Renucci, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at theLake Funeral Home on Ionia Saturday, March 
5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Donna Sperry officiating. Interment Easton 
Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 4-7 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Those wishing 
may make memorial contribution to Ionia Community Awareness. Online condolences
