Ionia Sentinel Standard, 4 Nov 1991

Thelma C. St. Denis, 76, of Ionia, died Saturday at Ionia County Memorial
Hospital.  She was born the daughter of Thomas and Mae Martin Carter on
September 7, 1915, in Harriman, Tenn.

She is survived by one son Tom Carter Gouge? of Ionia; one daughter Karen Cook
of Saranac; three grandchildren; and four sisters, Margaret, Madge, Ruth and
Sue.  She was preceded in death by one brother Thomas Aubrey Carter in April, 1991.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, with
Rev. James Bennett of First Baptist Church officiating.  The family will be at
the funeral home Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.  A memorial has
been established for the American Diabetes Association, in care of the funeral
home.
