Daily Sentinel – Monday, 4 May 1914
Mrs. Pearl Melissa Steadman, wife of Bert Steadman of Palo, died at her home 
there this morning at 7:30 o’clock.  Peritonitis was the cause of death.  Mrs. 
Steadman was 27 years of age and leaves besides her husband two children, a 
boy and a girl aged 6 and 7 years.  The funeral will be held from the house at 
12:30 Wednesday and at 1 o’clock from the Baptist Church, Rev. E. E. Branch of 
Ionia will officiate.
