Ionia Sentinel, 17 Jan 1873

Died. – At his residence in Ronald, Jan. 4th, 1873, of Sciatic Rheumatism, 
Benjamin Steadman, aged 34 years and 10 months.

Mr. Steadman had been a resident of Ronald ten years, and, although an invalid 
most of the time during the last seven years of his life, had the principal 
supervision of a large farm, discharging its labors faithfully and profitably.  
By his death a wife and child are deprived of a kind and indulgent husband and 
father, and Ronald of a worthy citizen, of whom no one could speak evil.
