Lyons Herald, 24 Aug 1911

Marie Pierce Steadman, wife of Capt. Thos A. Steadman, died at her home near 
Lyons Saturday, August 19th.  Funeral services were held at the house Monday, 
W.W. Hurd officiating.  Mrs. Steadman was born in Holley, Orleans county, N.Y., 
April 27, 1832.  In 1853 she was married to Thos. A. Steadman.  To them were born 
four children, two died in infancy.  The others, Geo. H. of Lyons, and Thos. of 
Elsie, together with the bereaved husband, survive her.
