Mrs. G.W. Stearns of This City Passed Away at an Early Hour This Morning. From Friday’s Banner. Surrounded by her loved ones, Mrs. G.W. Stearns, of this city, closed her eyes to earthly scenes this morning to awaken on the other side, after an illness of only one week. For some time Mrs. Stearns has been troubled with diabetes which, although giving her considerable trouble, was never considered dangerous. Recently, however, neuralgia of the stomach set in and coupled with the diabetes soon bore her from her loved ones into the great beyond. Two sons, Pearly B. of this city and George L. of Howard City, and one daughter, Nellie, who resides with her parents, are left with the devoted husband to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother. At the time of her death Mrs. Stearns was 55 years, five months and 18 days old. The remains will be taken to Lakeview for burial tomorrow afternoon on the 12:10 train.
