Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2002

Esther Stebbins, 87, of Ionia formerly of Saranac, passed away March 7, 2002 in 
Grand Rapids.

She was born Aug. 21, 1914 in Keene Township, the daughter of Arthur and 
Blanche (Lee) Goodell.  She would go on to marry Russell Stebbins June 13, 1936 
in Ionia.  She was an active member of Easton United Methodist Church and a 
member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Stebbins of Ionia, her daughters, Mary 
White of Grand Rapids and Donna Meyers of Ionia; and one brother, Don (Emma) 
Goodell of Saranac.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell on March 20, 2001; as well as 
five brothers and sisters.

Memorial services for Mrs. Stebbins will be held at 11 a.m., Monday at the 
Easton United Methodist Church with Chaplain Tom Reaume officiating.  A 
luncheon will follow at the church.  Those wishing may make memorial 
contributions to Easton United Methodist Church in care of Lake Funeral Home 
Ionia.
