Belding - Eleanor F. Stebbins, 85, of Belding, passed away Friday, Dec. 21,
2001, at United Memorial Health Center, Greenville.  She was born Dec. 24, 1915,
in Clio, the daughter of Guy and Ella Chatfield Olney.

She was married on July 26, 1938, in Big Rapids, to Arden Stebbins.  He preceded
her in death in 1982.  She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sons,
William D. Moore and Arthur Stebbins; her brothers, Pat, Floyd, Junior; her
sisters, Ardith and Jean.

Eleanor was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 4406, Belding.

She is survived by her children, Geraldine and Karl Irwin of Belding, Arden and
Pat Stebbins of Jonesville, Donna and Keith Geitzen of St. Petersburg, Fla.; her
daughter-in-law, Colleen Stebbins of Lakeview; 14 grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.

Funeral and committal services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Johnson-Feuerstein
Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating.  Interment is in
Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeview.  Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the
funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of
Post 4406.
