Sentinel-Standard (Pg. 1) - Saturday, June 29, 1935 

Alfred M. Stebbins, 69, died at his home, 407 Pleasant street, Saturday morning 
at 3:30 after a long illness. He had been in poor health for nearly 15 years 
but had been seriously ill the past week.

Mr. Stebbins was born in Farmington, December 4, 1865. He was married to Miss 
Elizabeth Archer in 1882 and they came to Ionia about 40 years ago from 
Manistee. For many years Mr. Stebbins was a Pere Marquette railroad conductor 
and he retired about 15 years ago. He was a member of the Masonic order, F. and 
A.M. No. 36.

Surviving are the widow; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Dorman, of Oregon, and Mrs. 
Eva Randall of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and one brother, Frederick of Los 
Angeles, Calif. 

Funeral services will be held from the home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. 
A.L. Bingaman, pastor of the Evangelical church, officiating. Services will be 
under Masonic auspices.

Funeral services for Alfred M. Stebbins, who died Saturday morning following a 
long illness, were held from the home, 407 Pleasant street, Tuesday afternoon 
at 2:30 with Rev. A.L. Bingaman, pastor of the Evangelical church officiating 
and Rev. B.H. Moore of Reed City, assisting. Bearers were Ed. Krainbrink, 
William Marquette, William Morey, Harry Jackson, Blaine Laden and Ormison 
Hilborne. Burial services were held under the auspices of the Masonic order in 
interment was at Balcom cemetery.

Funeral: Tuesday 2, July 1935
